Sarah replied: "Call doctor and tell symptoms. Maybe its an ear infection or a double ear infection. Or your ear is clogged up."

skypower replied: "What you can do is either buy a bidet or just fill an injection with warm water and a pinch of salt; after removing the needle insert the injection in your nostril and let the water inside..it'll give you a little burning sensation but it helps the pressure go from the sinus."

mary replied: "SUDAFED WHEN YOU SHOWER DO NOT LET WATER GET INTO YOUR EARS.. PUT A PLUG OR COTTON IN YOUR EARS SO YOUR EARS WILL STAY DRY. VERY IMPORTANT. DO YOU HAVE A EONIC BREEZE IN YOUR HOME? AIR FILTERS IN YOUR HOUSE HELP A LOT. SLEEP ON A NON-ALLERGENIC PILLOW."

kathy_is_a_nurse replied: "You may need an antibiotic to completely get rid of it. Better see your doctor."

Jay R replied: "You could have a sinus infection. Not something to mess around with, so probably should see about getting an appointment with your doctor. The pressure in your ear is hard sometimes to clear due to swelling from the infection. You can try something similiar to or Actifed. Ask the pharmacist, they can tell what drys you up best. Benadryl will do an ok job too."

Meri replied: "you probably have fluid in your ear. You have to get an operation done to open up and flush out the ear. It is no big deal. I hope you feel better xoxo Meri"

Also if you put some in a pot of boiling water then lean over with a towel on your head. This will help to keep it clear all night. I am about to do this - then i am going to sleep. You should too :)"

lois d replied: "stem damp cloth hot over clogged areas Vicki's rub even pine sol smelling the odor will help unclog the area."

Does anyone know if it's ok to take Tylenol Sinus while pregnant? I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have the worst sinus pressure and headache. I know it's safe to take tylenol, but that hasn't worked so far and apparently my doctor's office is too busy to call me back. I have some tylenol sinus and I know it helped me out a lot before. Has anyone taken it while pregnant or know whether or not it's safe? Thank you

Tabitha replied: "I don't know for sure what the rules are for that. I do know that taking it once while you're pregnant will not cause any harm. If you find out later you shouldn't have, it won't have done any harm. Otherwise, try drinking some herbal tea with lemon and see if that helps."

Brutally Honest replied: "Tylenol during pregnancy is fine. Whatever else that is in the medicine is NOT fine unless you get clearance from your doctor. All you have to do is pick up the phone and ask."

I'd rather be at the beach replied: "ask your doctor, or you can go to and see if it's listed as ok"

Michelle D replied: "My doctor ok'd it for me when I was pregnant, but as everyone is different, please contact your OB/GYN to make sure it's ok for you."

Alyssa replied: "I would ask your doctor first before your take anything! Congrats and good luck!"

Can you take Tylenol Sinus with Augmentin? They told me at the pharmacy they stopped making Liquibid/Wellbid 1200, which is the only decongestant that works for me. Claritin D and Mucinex D do nothing. Tylenol Sinus Severe helps with the pressure and pain, but we weren't sure if it was ok to take... I don't see why not, but I just want to ask.

Chicken Little replied: "Augmentin is an antibiotic; Tylenol Sinus contains acetominophen and decongestants. Neither potentiates the other; you can take them together presuming that you have no allergies to any of the ingredients."

Laura L replied: "I use this to cure sinus infections. THere are many kinds of bacteria that live in the sinuses, and this gets rid of all the bad ones!.This is the only thing that really helped me --- my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria. you need distilled water sea salt liquid chlorophyll and colloidal silver from the health food store. in a glass mix 1/4 cup water with a pinch of salt and heat to body temperature. add 5 drops each silver and chlorophyll and mix. using a large dropper (like one used for infant medication) drop 2 full droppersfull into one side of the nose while laying down. Turn the head and let it drain out the other nostril. Be sure to have paper towels handy. The silver kills the bacteria and there are several hundred kind that can live in the sinus cavities and anti biotics don't get rid of them all. Do this twice a day for a week, mixing up the mixture fresh each time. Then do it once a week for maintenance. There is nothing in this that will hurt you, and it cured me. I do not have to take claritin, or antibiotics anymore. best wishes"

what can i do for sinus pressure/pain? I have tried sudafed, with the 'good' stuff in it, and tylenol sinus severe , also with the 'good' stuff. and yet no relief. I don't want to take my migraine med, as i only have a limited amount and I know it isn't a migraine, is there anything I can do at home? I am not going back out again for the night. thanks

yo replied: "ONLY ANSWER I KNOW PERHAPS NO GOOD AT MO BUT IS TO SWIM IN SALTY WATER EG THE SEA TRY IT IF U CAN SOMETIME OLD REMEDY BUT WORKS"

El Geeko replied: "you can try something called neti pot. some poeple claim they work wonders for sinus problems. other than that you may need to see you doctor to make sure you're not coming down with an infection. something to keep in mind with sinus problems is that its not always a good idea to take something for sinus pressure because they dry everything up in there. when that happens the stuff tends to cellct and expand causing sinus pressure. you want tokeep things fluid in the nose and see that everything drip out. its a big drag but that sometimes helps. Hope you feel better."

CUMMINGS105 replied: "Try: humidifier afrin nasal at walgreens-tilt your head back after the spray otc antihistamines-claritin, benadryl, somthin."

almost 38 wks pregnant and experiencing increased sinus pressure--what can i take?? i usually take zyrtec everyday but i am out of the prescription right now and my pharmacy is closed..i know i could take Chlrotrimeton (sp) during the beginning of pregnancy, but that stuff made everything worse when i took it last time. Can i take a tylenol sinus or something like that? All the drainage is making me sick. can i really take benadryl?? the baby isnt moving as much right now and that will definitely stop her movement, right?

KLD replied: "Benedryl"

TLS replied: "The only thing on my list of approved medicines is Regular Sudafed."

liz217tiel replied: "acetaminophen (tylenol) is safe to take while pregnant... never had a migrain so not sure if it'll help... but if you go to webmd.com they have a lot of helpful answers there"

preggo again replied: "According to my Ob's list of approved OTC meds, you can take Sudafed, the 30mg ones and you can take 2 at a time (total ling 60mg). Good luck!"

dpeorsae89 replied: "I wouldn't recommend Benadryl take sudafed and or tylenol."

aeytei replied: "i agree with "TLS" and "PREGO AGAIN" take suddafed(i think thats how you spell it...any way you know what im talking about)"

Lea replied: "Funny, in a month Zyrtec will be OTC. Your insurance will stop covering it. There will be a Zyrtec analogue which will be prescription only, but more than likely insurance won't cover it. Zyrtec OTC will be expensive until the generics come out. Depending on your situation you might want to switch to Claritin OTC or prescription fexofenadine (Allegra). You can take tylenol. I'm just not too sure about sudafed. Claritin is a similar drug to Zyrtec, but I'm not quite sure if you can take it while pregnant."

Sinus pressure relief...plz help?!? I have never had problems with my sinuses until this year. I woke up this morning and the whole left side of my head is full of junk!!! But only the left side...my left nostril is running, pressure and fullness in my left nostril and behind my left eye, my left ear sounds like I have water in it, and my left tonsil is sore and swollen. Why would the pressure only be on one side of my head...and how do I help relieve some of the pressure? It feels like the left side of my head is going to explode. Any home remedies, maybe b/c I am already taking Tylenol sinus. TY everyone!! No, I do not have a viral infection. I am in nursing school...I know what sinus infections are. I just can't figure out why it is only on one side of my head. The sore throat is from drainage, the pressure is from....well, snot! lol Home remedies would be great...just some simple relief!

Victoria T replied: "you my friend have a viral infection on that side of your head see a doctor soon TYLENOL WILL NOT HELP YOU"

Pregnant with sinus pressure? I think that I have a sinus infection or something along those lines.. is there anything I can take for sinus pressure- head ach? I have taken Tylenol but that did not help much.. Mainly because that’s not what it is.. its sinus related… I have to be about dying before I go to the doctor so that’s not the answer I am looking for. I am 22 weeks so I am in my 2nd try.

jarce101 replied: "You should at least call your Dr. Mine told me the only thing I can take for sinus is Sudafed (plain). Every Dr. is different though..."

bernabell24 replied: "After your first trimester, I believe my dr said it is safe to take sudafed... Hope you feel better!"

Amy B replied: "For a non-medicinal remedy, try steam heat. A hot shower is my best answer to sinus pressure. If that isn't possible, either boil a pot of water on the stove and lean over it to breathe the steam in or heat up some water in a coffee mug and press the heated mug against the area that hurts. (Be careful, of course, that you don't fill the mug up too much or you'll end up spilling some of the water and burning yourself.) Another option is to wet a washcloth and then microwave it for about 20 seconds or so. Then lay down with that over your eyes. You have to watch the temperature of the cloth so you don't burn the skin, but it's another great way to get heat on the sinuses. It works best combined with decongestant, but it also works by itself if you can't take anything."

Pregnant w/#2 replied: "I had a sinus infection in my second trimester as well, so bad that it hurt to even open my eyes. I tried every over-the-counter drug my dr recommended and nothing seemed to help. He finally prescribed me a zpak. It worked wonders after 24 hours the pressure went away and i was on my way to feeling much better. I know you said going to the dr isnt an option but if nothing seems to work you might want to consider it. Everything else that has been said might help too. The steam, hot washcloth, and my dr told me childrens sudafed... everyone is different though good luck and hop you feel better!"

naj replied: "try eucalyptus oil. a couple drops in some hot water in your room can help open up your sinuses....also believe it or not spicey food.....ever had WASABI....that usually does the trick.....also take a hot or warm rag and place it over your nose and eyes....."

bmac replied: "Yes, go buy a bulb syringe. Where they sell baby stuff. Mix together a lukewarm saline solution (1/4 a teaspoon of salt to 1 cup of water.) Stand over the sink or toilet and shoot it up one nostril at a time. I am telling you---that will clear out SO much stuff you won't believe it. You will feel so much better. It's really disgusting, I know and you have to cough all that garbage up and out. But it does work."

bramblerock replied: "If you have tried all these with no relief then maybe it's time to see the doctor for an antibiotic. I really love the Z pack and now there is a Z pack that only has one pill. Fall is usually bad time of year due to the mold on the fallen leaves which cause allergy symptoms. I suffer all year from sinus problems so I know what you are going through. Good Luck!"

Pegasus90 replied: "If it is due to allergy, then finding out what you are allergic to, and avoiding it would work to prevent the sinus problems in the future. Start with the gluten grains (wheat, oats, barley and rye) as that can be a source of many allergies, but also lactose (milk), dust, mites, and mold can cause allergies. I understand high insulin production (hyperinsulinemia) can aggravate allergies."

dogsaysmoo replied: "A big spoonful of horseradish often works for me when medications won't. A big spoonful of Tabasco or other such hot sauce also could work. Or, eat a jalapeno peper. Yes, these remedies are painful at first, but that goes away, and hopefully, so does some of the sinus pressure."

TweetyBird replied: "You've tried many remedies but have you tried seeing your doctor? We all have sinuses, my friend, but you may have sinusitis."

The other is not inexpensive but even more incredible and downright miraculous to the fullest order. I love it so much and it makes my touring when doing guitar studio work and solo shows much more tolerable. I drink it regularly I became a dealer to make it more available, I have even done radio interviews about it. Email me at It WILL work in a relatively short amount of time. Tylenol Sinus when breast feeding? I know regular tyelnol is safe...I have horrid sinus pressure...is it okay to take the Sinus kind? Thank you!!!

Pippin replied: "What's in it? Most OTC meds are safe to use. Cold meds have the potential to dry up the milk a bit (they dry up ALL secretions, not just your nose or sinuses), but can be used if necessary. Just keep an eye on your supply."

jen replied: "Sinus medicines are known to dry up other fluids in the body and can interfere with your milk supply. You may want to take fenugreek to counteract that effect."

Stacy replied: "You should be fine. One or two doses shouldn't have a noticible affect on your supply. Just don't take too much of it."

JMc replied: "I was told by my Dr. not to take it because it can reduce your milk supply. I have killer allergies often and am doing well with Tylenol and Advil combined. You can take Mucinex but not Mucinex D for the same reasons. Also, Benadryl is drying to breastmilk. You can use a neti pot. Look for mentholated products to use on the areas of sinus pressure. I use Aveda Active or Blue Oil quite a bit. If you have a health food store or pharmacy that sells Olba's products-- their nasal inhaler is great. The fenugreek suggestion is great because while it increases your milk supply, it also reduces mucus-- which actually seems impossible that it could do both-- but that's the research! Hot showers too. If you can't find a neti pot easily, Walgreens and CVS now sell saline nasal flushes that will help a lot. Make sure you do attend to reducing the mucus though as you don't need a sinus infection while you're caring for baby! Feel better! I know it's lame-- Tylenol Sinus has to be the most effective sinus drug ever."
